Onions

Grown over 250 Hectares, our farm is home to both premium red and brown varieties of onions. Produced for the consumer Australian and International markets, our supply period extends from January to November. Plans are currently in progress to close this to a full 12 month supply.  On Farm, we have an impressive 6,000T cold store facility used to ensure an ongoing high quality product for the purchaser.

The sulfuric compounds in onions react with the moisture in our eyes, which cause us to cry. Try chilling the onion before chopping and cut the root end last.

Onions are a very good source of biotin and a good source of B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, manganese, copper, fibre, phosphorus, potassium and folate. They boost immune systems.

Almonds

Based in Virginia, our well established Almond orchard, occupies 400 acres of land. The clay soils of Virginia and secured water, plus Virginia’s micro climate, means it is always the first Australian crop to be harvested. This has many benefits for clients looking for early season new crop almonds that are fresh, generally lighter in colour, and less inclined to be subjected to autumn weather.

Virginia Farm Produce grows three main varieties: Non Pariel, Carmel and Price, all very marketable and versatile varieties suitable for snacking, roasting and blending purposes.
